Cruise Itineraries for 2020 – 2021

MANDALAY - BAGAN - (2 NIGHTS / 3 DAYS)

DAY 1: MANDALAY-SAGAING-AVA-MYINMU[-/L/D]

Check in to the boat around 8 am at Amata Jetty near ' Tanhmoekyun ' ferry boat Jetty. Amata Cruise start cursing on downriver to Sagaing. Visit to Sagaing (the most important Buddhist Religion site) for about two & half hours excursion. We will visit Guitar making workshop, U Min Tonesae and Soon Oo Ponnyashin Pagoda by car. Enjoy Lunch on board. Set sailing to Inwa (AVA). Then we will visit to Mae Nu Oak Kyaung, Nan Myint Watch Tower, Yandanar Simee Stupa and Bagayar wooden Monastery after lunch by a horse-carte in Ava. Then Amata cruise again on down river to Myinmu for the night. Visit to Nan Myint Watch Tower, the only remaining palace building nicknamed “leaning tower of Ava”; Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, built of brick and stucco and the all-teak and carved BAGAYA Monastery by horse-cart. Back to the board and cast off. Enjoy delicious Dinner on board. Then Amata Cruise again on down river to Myinmu for the night.

DAY 2: MYINMU-YANDABO-BAGAN[B/L/D]

In the morning, continue sailing downstream and arrive Yandabo. After Breakfast, Sightseeing Yandabo Village, dependent on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Burma. Now a day Yandabo was famous by handmade clay pots. Then cruising again on down river to Bagan.

DAY 3: BAGAN[B/-/-]

Cast off early morning continue sailing downstream and arrive to Bagan. After breakfast disembark from Amata Cruise at Ayar Jetty.

BAGAN-MANDALAY (2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS)

DAY 1: BAGAN - YANDABO – SEMIKKHONE (-/ L/ D) [-/L/D]

Check in to Amata Cruise at Nyaung Oo ' Taryarwaddy Jetty 'around 8 am. Amata start cursing on upriver to Yandabo. We will visits Yandabo by foot in the late afternoon. Yandabo is one of the historical village of Myanmar where England and Burma was signed for treaty in 1826.Now a day Yandabo was famous by handmade clay pots. Then we cruises again on upriver to Semikkhone village stay overnight at sandbank.

DAY 2: SEMIKKHONE - AVA – SAGAING [B/L/D]

Amata start cursing before breakfast on upriver to Ava. We will reach Ava after lunch and visits Bagayar wooden Monaestary, Yadanar Simee stupa,Watch Tower and Mae Nu Oak Kyuang by a horse-carte in Ava and we will visit Guitar making workshop ,U Min Tonesae,Soon Oo Ponnya Shin pagodas by a car in Sagaing. Then we will comes back to Amata at Sagaing. Stay overnight in the middle of the river near Sagaing.

DAY 3: SAGAING-MANDALAY [B/-/-]

Amata start cruising before breakfast on upriver to Mandalay. After Breakfast check out from Amata Jetty near ' Tanhmoekyun ferry boat jetty ' in Mandalay.

Optional Balloon flight over Bagan in the early morning. We will spend the rest of the day by visiting Htilominlo Temple, Shwezigon Stupa, Nyaung oo market, Lacquer ware workshop, Anada Temple by a car. Enjoy your evening sunset at sunset hill where we will climb up to have with panorama views.

Then Amata cruise again on up river to night stop. Wewill be able to see Ayarwaddy Dolphins (Orcaella ) if we are lucky today. Amata stay overnight at the middle ofthe river near Seethae village.

DAY4: SEETHAE VILLAGE-NWENYEIN-KYARNYET[B/L/D]

Amata start cruising before breakfast to Nwenyein. We will visit Nwenyein pottery village after breakfast by foot.Nwenyein is one of the famous pottery village of the country where they produces a lot of glaze pots by hand. ThenAmata cruise again on up river to night stop. We will pass third Defile of Ayarwaddy River as soon as we startcruising. The sceneries of Third Defile are beautiful with bamboo hills, villages and pagodas. Amata cruising aboutfive hours in the Defile. Amata will reach Kyarnyet village in the late afternoon and will stay overnight at middleof the river.

DAY5: KYARNYET-TAGAUNG-NAT INN VILLAGE[B/L/D]

Amata start cruising before breakfast on upriver to Tagaung. We will visit Tagaung with Tuk Tuk. Tagaung is oneof the oldest capitals of Myanmar where Regional Nat (spirits), Old brick city wall, Market,Lay Myat Nar Templeand Museum can be seen. Then Amata cruise again on upriver to night stop. Amata stay overnight at Nat InnVillage.

DAY6: NAT INN-KATHA-SINGONETAING VILLAGE[B/L/D]

Amata start cruising before breakfast on upriver to Katha. We will reach Katha before lunch and visiting there byfoot. Katha is a picturesque town with markets, colonial buildings and beautiful rain trees. Katha town was becamefamous by the George Orwell's book, called Burmese Days. Amata cruise again on upriver to night stop aftervisiting Katha. Amata will reach Singonetaing village in the evening and stay overnight at mid-river. AyarwaddyDolphins (Orcaella) can be see today if we are lucky.

DAY7: SINGONETAING - SHWEGU –BAMAW[B/L/D]

Amata start cruising before breakfast on upriver to Shwegu. We will reach Shwegu before lunch and will visitsShwe Baw Kyun Pagodas on the island by foot. The island was located in the Ayarwaddy River with 150 housesand about 2700 ruin stupas. It was one of the legendary pagodas of King Asoka. Then Amata cruise again onupriver to Bamaw.We will pass second Defile of Ayarwaddy River after one hour cruising. The sceneries of secondDefile are very beautiful with wild plants, Bamboo, Villages, high cliff hills and Pagodas. Amata cruising aboutone and half hours in the Defile. Then Amata will reach Near Bamaw in the evening.

DAY8: BAMAW[B/-/-]

Check out at Zayzate Jetty in Bamaw after Breakfast. In order to water level we go to Bamaw by small boat.

BAMAW-MANDALAY (7 NIGHTS/8DAYS)

DAY1: BAMAW[-/-/D]

Check in to the Amata Cruise at Zayzate Jetty in Bamaw around 3 pm. We will visit Tein Daw Gyi Stupa, BambooBridge about half mile long and local market by a car in Bamaw. Amata stay overnight at sandbank near Bamaw.

DAY2: BAMAW-SHWEGU[B/L/D]

Amata Cruise start cruising after breakfast on downriver to Shwegu. We will reach Shwegu after lunch. We willpass second Defile of Ayarwaddy River after one and half hour cruising. The sceneries of second Defile are verybeautiful with wild plants, Bamboo, Villages, high cliff hills and Pagodas. Amata cruising about one and half hoursin the Defile. If we can wake up around 7 am we can go to the market again and see activities of the morning market withpeoples. Amata start cruising after breakfast on downriver to Tagaung. We will reach Tagaung after lunch. We willvisit Tagaung with Tuk Tuk. Tagaung is one of the oldest capitals of Myanmar where Regional Nat (spirits), Oldbrick city wall,Market,Lay Myat Nar Temple and Museum can be seen. Then Amata cruise again on downriver tonight stop. DAY4:INDAUNG-SAGAING-AVA[B/L/D]

Moring start cruising on downriver to Sagaing. We will visit Guitar making workshop, U Min Tonesae and SoonOo Ponnyashin Pagodas by a car in Sagaing .Then come back to Amata and cruising to Ava. Then We will visit toMae Nu Oak Kyaung, Watch Tower,Yandanar Simee Stupa and Bagayar wooden Monaestary after lunch by ahorse-carte in Ava. Then Amata cruise again on down river for the night.

DAY5: AVA-YANDABO-CHINDWIN CONFLUENCE[B/L/D]

Amata Cruise start cruising on downriver to Yandabo at 8 am. We will visit Yandabo after lunch. Then we cruises again on downriver to Chindwin confluence and stayovernight at sandbank.

DAY6: CHINDWIN CONFLUENCE - MA U VILLAGE-MONYWA[B/L/D]

Amata cruise start cruising on Chindwin River to Ma U. We will visit to old stupas, wooden long bridge.Handmade bamboo products by a local car about two hours before lunch then comes back to Amata and cruiseagain on upriver to Monywa. Amata stay overnight at middle of the river near Monywa.

DAY7: MONYWA[B/L/D]

After breakfast we will visit Monywar by a car. Monywar is capital of sagaing division. One of the biggest tradingtown between Mandalay and up river of Chindwin River area. Mostly they have used speed boats to transports. Wewill visit Market, Standing Buddha Image,Bodi Tataung Pagodas and Thanboddhay Temple before lunch. Then wewill have lunch in the local restaurant of the town.Then we continue to Phoewin Taung with the same car.A lot ofsandstone Buddha Images and Monkeys can be see there. Then we will comes back to Amata in Monywar jetty andstay overnight in the middle of the river near Monywa.

DAY8: MONYWA[B/-/-]

Breakfast check out from Amata Jetty near ' Nyaung bin win ferry boat jetty ' in Monywa.

After breakfast we will visit Monywar by a car. Monywar is capital of sagaing division. One of the biggest tradingtown between Mandalay and up river of Chindwin River area. Then Amata Cruise continue crusing on Ayarwaddy River forfew hours to night stop near Myaydaw village.

DAY4: MYAYDAW-YANDABO-YWARTHITGYI[B/L/D]

Amata start cruising on upriver to Yandabo. We will visits Yandabo by foot after breakfast. DAY5: YWARTHITGYI-AVA-SAGAING-MANDALAY[B/L/D]
